Baseball America announced their Midseason All-American Honors in April. Of the five SEC players named out of 16 college baseball selections included was Arkansas Razorback sophomore pitcher Ryne Stanek.
Stanek, a right handed pitcher from Overland Park, Kansas, is 6-3 with a 2.52 ERA on the season. Stanek leads the Razorbacks with a team high 64.1 innings pitched, 60 strikeouts, and is tied with D.J. Baxendale for most wins on the staff at six a games a piece.
Dave Van Horn has relied on Stanek to take over the top spot on Arkansas’ pitching rotation after moving Baxendale from his opening series role as a starter on Friday’s game to Sunday.
Arkansas has three more conference weekend series remaining before starting the SEC Tournament May 22-27.
