Arkansas Razorback Football: Receiver Kane Whitehurst Arrested for Possession

Fayetteville, Ark- Arkansas Razorback redshirt freshman wide receiver Kane Whitehurst from Alpharetta, Georgia was arrested Sunday morning by campus police for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
According to reports, Whitehurst, 19 years old, was pulled over for speeding in a parking deck structure on campus. When the officers searched the car they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Whitehurst’s car. The amount of marijuana Whitehurst had on him is unknown at this time.
Whitehurst was arrested at 3:39 a.m., booked into Washington County Detention Center with a bond of $1,320, and released at 6:48 a.m. A hearing is set for Monday morning and his court date is set for April 30.
A statement has not been released regarding Whitehurst’s arrest from the University of Arkansas athletic department.
