Arkansas basketball coach Mike Anderson had an Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema moment.

Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema is known for his funny quotes and slips during press conferences. Mike Anderson, however, is definitely not known for either.

There are so many moments from Bielema’s press conferences to choose from when talking about the funniest. My personal favorite has got to be what he said after an overtime win against Ole Miss in 2015.

Bielema was talking about what he was going to do now that the game was over and he immediately said, “Well I’m gonna hop on the wife.”

The crowd of media members and those close to the program in the room erupted in laughter. As immediate as he had a slip of the tongue, the head football coach made sure to correct himself. “Hop on the plane! I meant hop on the plane!”

It was too late as the sound byte would forever be one of his greatest. Of course, there are plenty more with Bielema but when it comes to Mike Anderson, one doesn’t expect these moments.

Anderson had a rare slip up during his last show “Mic’d Up With Mike” of the year. He was talking about his family when he accidentally said: “How I treat my wives”.

Much like Bielema, Anderson quickly corrected himself and let the laughing crowd know he meant his WIFE, singular not wives. What makes it great is that we very rarely get this side of Anderson. It’s cool to see him relaxed and laughing even when it’s a laugh at himself. Woo pig.
