It wasn’t anything close to pretty but Arkansas beat Texas 77-74 in Houston.

Arkansas struggled mightily in the first half against the Longhorns but would rally to win in the second. This has been the case for most of the season with the Hogs.

The biggest factor for the Razorback win was Daryl Macon and his career high 23 points. Macon shot just four of twelve from the field but hit fourteen of fourteen from the free-throw line. He also led the team with three assists.

Overall the Hogs shot 35.5 percent from the field and just 25 percent from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, the Longhorns hit 40.3 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from the three. The deciding factor was the free-throw percentage. Arkansas hit a stunning 93.5 percent while Texas hit 59.4 percent.

Moses Kingsley, who was the preseason Player of the Year in the SEC, has got to get it going. We’ve seen him have slow starts but today he could never find his groove. This is gonna have to change for Arkansas during SEC play

Kingsley ended the game with just 7 points but he did lead the team in rebounds with 10. I thought that it would take him a while to find his place offensively on this team with all the new scoring talent but he just hasn’t gotten there yet.
