It’s week five for Arkansas as they take on the juggernaut of Alcorn State and most fans couldn’t be less excited.

When playing an FCS opponent who just lost 43-18 to Grambling State, it’s kind of hard to get pumped up. Especially when that game is at War Memorial Stadium, which will probably sell fewer tickets for this game than the Bryant vs Benton Salt Bowl. Ok, maybe attendance won’t be that bad, but it won’t be great because it’s Little Rock.

Well, one good thing to watch will be Austin Allen probably looking like Tom Brady against the Braves secondary. Last week, Alcorn gave up a ridiculous 400 yards passing to Grambling. So if Reed can find his rhythm, it could very well look like Brady to Moss.

Could this be a chance for the Hogs to figure out problems with the run game? No, not really. Arkansas on their worst day should be able to hang 200 to 300 yards on the ground against the Braves. So could we see Whaley finally bust out that long 50+ run for a TD? I would honestly hope so since Grambling put 134 yards rushing on them.

So the Arkansas offense should dominate with no problem but is there anything that could make this a trap game? If you google the game you’ll see articles saying that since Arkansas struggles in WMS, anything could happen. Unless there is some terrible turn of events in which everyone on the first and second teams gets hurt, along with Cole Kelly, the Hogs stand no chance to lose this game. Period.

On the up side, at least it’s football, right? Well kinda. Arkansas kicks off against the Alcorn State Braves at 11 am this coming Saturday. You can find the game on the SEC Network alternate channel. Oddsshark has Arkansas winning 44.8 to 0 and to be honest, that wouldn’t shock me. Woo, Pig! Beat Bam-er-Alcorn!
