Arkansas Razorbacks 28 – Missouri Tigers 3

The Arkansas Razorbacks defeated the Missouri Tigers 28-3, in a torrential downpour in Fayetteville, Arkansas. For the first time since the UTEP game in week 1, the Razorbacks had a boring ol beatdown that was never close. Missouri’s offense has struggled all season long, and Arkansas was able to contain them all night long. The highly touted Tiger’s defense looked strong early, but were worn down by the Alex Collins/Kody Walker combo.

The win bumps Arkansas up to a 7-5 record, matching their win total from last season. It’s still unclear which bowl game the Hogs will be selected for, but a win in the bowl would give the Razorbacks 8 wins, and would be an improvement from last season. Win or lose in the bowl, the Hogs turnaround from starting 1-3 to finishing 7-5 has been truly incredible.

Players of the Game

  • Alex Collins – In probably his last game as a Hog, Alex Collins capped off an incredible season with a 130 yard, 3 touchdown performance. Collins’ finishes his Junior season with 1392 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns. 3rd in the SEC in yards and 2nd in TDs. He has probably been the most underrated running back in the nation this year.
  • Kody Walker – The bruising back has shown his ability after coming back from a broken hand. The 5th year junior will be the featured back next year, and looked solid vs Missouri. He rushed for 77 yards and a score.
  • The Defense – No one player from the defense had an outstanding night. But the unit as a whole was fantastic. They held Missouri to 171 total yards, and kept the Tigers on the sideline. Missouri had less than 20 total minutes of possession.

Highlights, Tweets, and More

We’re sending our best to Coach Pinkel. This was super sad. I wish we weren’t his last game.

Next: Hogs Fans Should be Thankful for 2015

Sorry for the lack of tweets and videos. Like I said before the game, literally all of the Razorbackers staff was at the game, and cell service is spotty at best. There’s not a better way to spend the Thanksgiving weekend than watching the Hogs win. (I can say that because I was in the indoor club. Because I’m fancy.)

Good win by the Hogs, and they have a chance to improve on last year’s record. That’s what you’re looking for in year 3 from a coach. The Razorbacks took the long way around to get to 7-5, but it’s been a wild, fun season. Woo Pig.
