Dave Van Horn Selected as Manager of 2014 Collegiate National Team


Fayetteville, Ark. – USA Baseball announced on Monday that Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn had been selected to be the manager of the 2014 Collegiate National Team. Van Horn was an assistant coach for the 2011 team and looks to take over the reigns of a talented team in 2014.

Van Horn has 25 years of head coaching experience at the college level as he completes his eleventh campaign with the Razorbacks this season. His career record is 1,017-478 with 432 coming as the skipper of the Hogs. He has five total College World Series appearances three with the Razorbacks.

The Hogs have been selected to 10 straight postseason berths under Van Horn and appear inline for an eleventh at the conclusion of this season.

In 2011 Van Horn helped guide the Collegiate National Team to a record of 11-2-1. Last season the CNT finished with a record of 12-5 earning a third place finish in a tournament in the Netherlands.

The rest of Van Horn’s staff is still being put together along with the team’s 2014 schedule.
