2013 SEC Basketball Tournament: Hogs Seeded No. Seven faces Vanderbilt

Nashville, Tenn. – The SEC Tournament announced the Arkansas Razorbacks grabbed the No. 7 seed for the conference finale beginning on Wednesday.

Arkansas will travel to Nashville to take on hometown favorite Vanderbilt. Vandy drew the No. 10 seed after posting a 14-16, 8-10, record during the regular season.

The Commodores beat the Hogs 67-49 on Feb. 9, after the Hogs won at home 56-33 on Jan. 12.

The Razorbacks will tipoff against Vanderbilt on Thursday with a scheduled time of 7:30 ET.

Should the Hogs win they would face No. 2 seed Kentucky, another team the Razorbacks beat at home during the regular season (73-60).

The tournament’s top seed went to Florida with Kentucky getting the second seed followed by Ole Miss and Alabama at No. 4. The top four seeds get a first round bye.

South Carolina, seeded No. 12, will face No. 13 seed Mississippi State in a play-in game for the right to face No. 5 seed Tennessee.

No. 11 Texas A&M will face No. 14 Auburn on Wednesday for the right to play No. 6 seed Missouri.

Georgia verses LSU is the tournament’s other first round game.
