Live: Arkansas National Signing Day Updates

Welcome Hogs fans,

Throughout the day I will be updating this article with Arkansas signees! Keep coming back for more National Signing Day news.

7:00 A.M. CT

The first four letters of intent were the four junior college signees that were already on campus:

1) SS Tiquention Coleman, 5’10”, 200 pounds, Milledgeville (JC), Georgia, 3-Star*
2) OT John McClure, 6’4”, 310 pounds, El Dorado (JC), Texas, 3-Star*
3) LB Myke Tavarres, 6’2”, 220 pounds, Weed (JC), California, 3-Star*
4) CB CarrollWashington, 6’0”, 175 pounds, Salinas (JC), California, 4-Star*

First faxed in LOI came from high school prep player:

5) FS De’Andre Coley, 6’1”, 185 pounds, Miami, Florida, 2-Star

7:07 A.M.

First in-state player to send in his LOI is:

6) LB Brooks Ellis, 6’2”, 215 pounds, Fayetteville, Arkansas, 3-Star

Minutes later:

Elite 8 semi-finalist.

7:30 A.M.

8) DE Tevin Beanum, 6’4”, 235 pounds, Forrest City, Arkansas, 3-Star

9) DT Ke’tyrus Marks, 6’2”, 285 pounds, Riviera Beach, Florida, 3-Star

7:50 A.M.

10) WR Drew Morgan, 6’0”, 185 pounds, Greenwood, Arkansas, 3-Star

8:05 A.M.

8:25 A.M.

13) TE Hunter Henry, 6’6”, 235 pounds, Little Rock, Arkansas, 4-Star

Top rated tight end in the nation.

8: 26 A.M.

Biggest surprise news of the day, Miami Booker T. Washington offensive tackle Denver Kirkland announced he will sign with the Hogs! LOI not in yet. That would make signee No. 14.

8:40 A.M.

14) OT Dan Skipper, 6’10”, 292 pounds, Arvada, Colorado, 3-Star

All-State selection.

9:05 A.M.

15) LB Martrell Spaight, 6’0”, 220 pounds, Coffeyville (JC), Kansas, 3-Star*

Spaight played his high school ball for North Little Rock (Ark.).

9:10 A.M.

16) OT Denver Kirkland, 6’5″, 333 pounds, Miami, Florida, 4-Star

No. 5 rated offensive guard by one recruiting service, No. 5 rated offensive tackle by another. Should be a five-star recruit by all accounts. Big pickup for Bret Bielema and staff.

9:45 A.M.

17) RB Denzell Evans, 6’0”, 205 pounds, Bellaire, Texas, 3-Star

10:05 A.M.

18) WR/CB Melvinson Hartfield, 5’11”, 185 pounds, Dallas, Texas, 3-Star

Hartfield was a Kansas State commitment before flipping to the Hogs.

10:15 A.M.

19) QB/SS Damon Mitchell, 6’2”, 190 pounds, Egg Harbor City, NJ, 4-Star

10:40 A.M.

20) SS Alex Brignoni, 6’1”, 190 pounds, Fayetteville, Arkansas, 3-Star

A snag with Alex Collins’ signing has happened. He has asked for more time before officially signing his LOI. Hate to speculate one way or another.

11:30 A.M.

21) OG Reeve Koehler, 6’3”, 320 pounds, Honolulu, Hawaii, 4-Star

12:00 P.M.

22) Sam Irwin-Hill, 6’3”, 210 pound, City College of San Francisco (JC), 2-Star

12:25 P.M.

The signing day drama over running back Alex Collins might be coming to an end. After reports that his mom left his school with his letter of intent from Arkansas, another family member reportedly will sign his LOI making the agreement legally binding.

Thursday Feb. 7, 12:30 P.M.

After some National Signing Day drama, Alex Collins is officially a Razorback!

23) RB Alex Collins, 5’11”, 210 pounds, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 5-Star

The Arkansas coaching staff may elect to sign two more players or leave the remaining two available scholarships open for 2014 recruits.
