2013 CFB Recruiting: Arkansas Inks Two-Time All-American JUCO Tackle

Fayetteville, Ark. – One of the more pressing needs for the Arkansas Razorback roster in 2013 was the offensive line. Bret Bielema and offensive line coach Sam Pittman inked a surefire starter for next year’s team with offensive tackle Jonathan McClure.

McClure, 6’4”, 320 pounds, was a second-team All-American offensive tackle for Butler County Junior College last season and a Kansas First-Team All-State selection during his senior year in high school at Wichita Heights.

McClure leaves the junior college ranks as a two-time All-American and rated as the No. 5 junior college offensive tackle in the nation. McClure may project as a guard for the Hogs.

Kansas State enrolled McClure as a walk-on in 2010 before he transferred to Butler County Community College after the fall semester.

The Razorbacks are in need of offensive linemen from the junior college ranks that are ready to start during the 2013 college football season. The Hogs lost tackle Jason Peacock and guard Tyler Deacon to graduation and lost offensive guard Alvin Bailey as an early NFL entry. Bailey, Peacock, and Deacon were all starters during the 2012 season.

247Sports rates the Arkansas Razorback 2013 recruiting class No. 22 in the nation.
