2013 CFB Recruiting: Hogs Flip Kansas State Wide Receiver Commitment

Fayetteville, Ark. – The Arkansas Razorbacks flipped Kansas State commitment Melvinson Hartfield on Sunday bringing the Hogs’ recruiting class to 20 total commitments.
Hartfield, 5’11”, 185 pounds, flipped his verbal commitment from Kansas State to Arkansas just two weeks after he officially visited the Wildcats. Hartfield had committed to Kansas State on Dec. 18.
Hartfield’s complete stats are hard to come by but during his senior season he caught 12 passes for 412 yards with six touchdowns. Extrapolating those statistics out Hartfield would have been at the top of every BCS program’s list had he been able to be more productive playing for South Oak Cliff High School, a Dallas, Texas area school.
The Hogs added two other recruits on Sunday, running back/safety Korliss Marshall from Osceola, Ark. and running back Denzell Evans from Bellaire, Texas.
247Sports bumped the Hogs up from No. 38 to No. 34 with the addition of the three new verbal commitments.
