2013 CFB Recruiting: Arkansas Offers RB Korliss Marshall

Fayetteville, Ark. – The Arkansas coaching staff offered 2013 in-state recruiting prospect running back Korliss Marshall from Osceola on Wednesday.

The Hogs have been looking to add depth at running back with offers extended to North Little Rock, Ark., prospect Altee Tenpenny and Plantation, FL, recruit Alex Collins. Korliss Marshall could be the speed burning tailback the Hogs have not had in third down situations in years.

Marshall, 6’0”, 190 pounds, has speed to burn running a reported 4.34 to 4.4 forty-yard dash. Overlooked throughout his prep career, Marshall’s stock has risen in recent weeks as team’s do extra homework for top prospects as they search the nation to complete their 2013 recruiting classes.

Rivals and 247Sports rates Marshall as a three-star prospect. Rivals rates Marshall as the No. 6 player in the state of Arkansas while 247Sports has him as the tenth best player.

Marshall committed to University of Central Arkansas earlier this month but has let it be known that he wanted an offer to play for the Razorbacks. Speculation is Marshall will commit soon after he speaks with his family about the decision.

As a junior Marshall rushed for 1,421 yards with 22 touchdowns. During his senior season he rushed for 1,711 yards with 24 scores.
