Bielema Gets Jump Start on 2014 Class with Jackson Commitment


Fayetteville, Ark. – Top defensive line prospect Bijhon Jackson verbally committed to new Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema setting up a great start to the Razorbacks 2014 recruiting class.

Jackson, 6’3”, 325 pounds, from El Dorado, Ark. is considered a 4-star prospect by Rivals heading into the 2013 season. The verbal commitment is the second from a 4-star player heading into next season, the other verbal commitment coming from quarterback Rafe Peavey from Bolivar, Missouri.

National recruiting analyst Tom Lemming of CBS Sports rates Jackson as the No. 95 junior prospect in the nation. Jackson also picked up Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All-Arkansas team honors after posting 67 tackles with six sacks during the 2012 season. In 2011 he had 47 tackles with two sacks before being named to the Arkansas Super Sophomore team.
