Fayetteville, Ark. – Bret Bielema added his first official verbal commitment as head coach of the Arkansas Razorback on Wednesday when Tiquention Coleman flipped his school of choice from the Badgers to the Razorbacks.
Coleman, 5’ 10”, 200 pounds, is a junior college prospect from Georgia Military College. The Mauldin High School South Carolina product is ranked by 247sports.com as the No. 8 safety prospect at the juco level. Coleman had previously committed to Wisconsin on Nov. 18 after visiting the campus the weekend of Nov. 16.
Besides being offered by Wisconsin and Arkansas, Coleman received official offers from Arizona, Auburn, Charlotte, and South Carolina among other Division-I programs.
Chris Ash was credited for bringing Coleman to Wisconsin and appears to be the reason Coleman has committed to the Hogs without officially visiting the campus.
In 2010 Coleman redshirted giving him two-years to play two at Arkansas.
Over his two-year career at Georgia Military Coleman posted 74 tackles with four interceptions, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
Most recruiting services do not rank junior college players highly; Coleman is rated as a two-star by Rivals.com and Scout.com, and a three-star by 247sports.com with an 82 overall average.
