Breaking News: Arkansas Football: Chris Ash Named Defensive Coordinator for Hogs


Fayetteville, Ark. – One week after Bret Bielema was named the new head coach for the Arkansas Razorbacks he has nailed down the first member of his staff, Chris Ash.

Chris Ash has been Bielema’s co-defensive coordinator for two years after joining the Badger’s staff in 2010 as the defensive backs coach. In Ash’s first year a co-defensive coordinator (2011) the Badgers ranked No. 13 in the country in scoring defense averaging 19 points per game and No. 15 in total defense.

During the 2012 college football regular season Wisconsin finished No. 13 in total defense and No. 19 in scoring defense.

Originally from Ottumwa, Iowa, Ash graduated from Drake then received a master’s degree from Iowa State in 2005 in education.
