Fayetteville, Ark. – The University of Arkansas men’s basketball team will face their second exhibition opponent of the season tonight in Bud Walton Arena when they tipoff against LeMoyne-Owen College at 7 p.m. CT.
LeMoyne, a Division-II program, will play the Hogs for the third time in four seasons as part of the Razorbacks’ exhibition season.
LeMoyne is part of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. LeMoyne-Owen College is a small school in Memphis, TN, with an enrollment of approximately 600 students.
When the ball goes live expect both teams to push the tempo of the game up and down the court. Last season LeMoyne-Owen averaged 68.1 points per game and held teams to an average of 66.7 points.
The Magicians finished the 2011-2012 season with an overall record of 18-11 and a conference record of 16-8, good enough for second place the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
If last season is any indication of how the Magicians may shoot from the floor, do not expect too much. They shot a percentage of .292 from behind the arc, .441 from the field, and .631 from the charity stripe.
Monday’s exhibition game will be the last for the Razorbacks before they tipoff against Sam Houston State on Friday night at 7 p.m. CT in Bud Walton Arena.
