Fayetteville, Ark. – The University of Arkansas athletic department announced the game time for the Arkansas Razorbacks homecoming game verses the Tulsa Golden Hurricane non-conference showdown to start at 11:21 a.m. CT for Saturday Nov. 3.
Tulsa, a member of Conference USA, is currently 7-1 with a 5-0 in-conference record. The Conference USA West Division leaders will have a seven game win streak on the line when they face the Razorbacks at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.
The Golden Hurricane lost their season opener to Iowa State 38-23 in Ames but has since reeled off wins against Tulane, Nicholls, Fresno State, UAB, Marshall, UTEP, and Rice.
Tulsa gets a bye week to prepare for the much improved Arkansas Razorback team that is currently riding a two game winning streak before entering another tough conference matchup this weekend against the Rebels of Ole Miss in Little Rock.
Bill Blankenship, Tulsa’s head coach football coach, will have an easier time to preparing for the Razorbacks offense as compared to previous seasons as Tulsa saw a similar offensive style when facing UAB earlier this season.
The Blazers head coach Garrick McGee is the former offensive coordinator for the Razorbacks. Having two chances against the same style offense should work in Blankenship’s favor although the talent level between Arkansas and UAB is decidedly tilted towards the Razorbacks.
Tulsa won their matchup against UAB 49-42 in Birmingham.
Arkansas holds an all-time lead in the series, 53-15-2, and won the last meeting in the series 30-23 in 2008.
The Arkansas vs. Tulsa non-conference game will air on the SEC Network.
