Fayetteville, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Athletic Department and CBS Sports announced a new behind the scenes show on Monday highlighting the 2012 Arkansas Razorback college football team. The show called College Football Confidential is scheduled to begin airing Wednesday August 29 at 6 pm CT on CBS Sports Network.

The behind the scenes show will be somewhat similar to HBO’s Hard Knocks including interviews with Tyler Wilson, Knile Davis, head coach John L. Smith, and athletic director Jeff Long.

Inside looks at practices, team meetings, and individual preparations for key games of national interest are to be the focal point of upcoming episodes including a Sept. 19 review of the Razorbacks’ previous game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

CBS has picked one of the more interesting teams in all of college football to follow for the 2012 season. Arkansas begins the season ranked No. 10 in both the AP Poll and USA Today Coaches’ Poll while boasting two Heisman Trophy Award candidates (Wilson and Davis) including a Mackey Award contender in tight end Chris Gragg.

The SEC has claimed the previous six BCS National Championships with four of those winners coming out of the SEC West (LSU 2007, Alabama 2009, Auburn 2010, and Alabama 2011). Can the Razorbacks extend the SEC’s dominance to seven straight?

The Razorbacks’ daunting schedule includes playing host to No. 2 Alabama on Sept. 15, traveling to No. 9 South Carolina on Nov. 10, and welcoming No. 3 LSU to Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Nov. 23 for a possible chance to play in the SEC Championship Game.
