The 2012 ESPY Award Show is upon us and former Arkansas Razorback punt returner Joe Adams is among 16 nominees for Best Play of the Year.
Adams was nominated for his spectacular 60-yard punt return against University of Tennessee on November 12.

The 16 nominees and voting for Adams’ play will begin on Wednesday at 10 p.m. CT coinciding with the 2012 ESPY’s Nomination Special presented by Capital One on ESPN2. The top 16 seeds will be narrowed down to 8 seeds on Tuesday July 3rd. The final four plays will be announced Monday July 9th.
The categories sports fans can vote on include Best Male Athlete, Best Female Athlete, Best Upset, Best Team, Best Moment, and Best of everything else sports related… even Best Bowler.
The ESPYS will take place July 11 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and will be hosted by comedian Rob Riggle.
Adams, a consensus 2012 All-American, was a fourth round draft pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers.
Adams capped his college career off with a punt return for a touchdown against Kansas State in the 2012 Cotton Bowl.
