Plano, Texas tight end Christian Morgan posted on Twitter Thursday that he will announce his verbal commitment Tuesday at 5 p.m. CT at Gleneagles Country Club.
Morgan, 6’4″, 245 pounds, from Prestonwood Christian High School, has offers from at least 16 different Division-I schools as a potential member of the 2013 recruiting class. His suitors include Arizona, Baylor, Florida State, Cal, Miami (FL), Missouri, Mississippi, Vanderbilt, Washington, and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
The 3-star recruit is rated as the No. 14 tight end in the nation and the 54th best prospect in the state of Texas.
Morgan visited Arkansas in March and raved about his visit.
Morgan and current verbal Arkansas commitment quarterback Tyler Cogswell had a scheduled appearance on an Arkansas sports talk show Thursday night.
Me and my boy
@TyCogs12 are about to ball out on the Shawn and Wally show! Tune in at 6:15!
Trying to predict where a recruit may or may not sign without hearing from the individual directly is futile. But a possible hint and reading of the tea leaves was posted by Morgan on Twitter shortly after he announced his Gleneagles party:
John O’ Korn is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Tyler Cogswell is from Plantation, Florida. O’ Korn is a 3-star prospect verbally committed to University of Houston and Cogswell is committed to… Arkansas.
Houston is not listed among the schools Morgan has received offers from on Rivals.com.
